Description:
PALS Course is designed to give the Health care provider the basic knowledge to care for the pediatric patient in cardiac arrest and to manage resuscitation efforts in conditions that may lead to arrest.
Notes:
A few housekeeping items: • You must have a book or arrange to borrow one prior to the course or you will not be permitted to attend • You must have a completed pretest with a rate of greater than 70%; cards will not be issued until the pretest is turned in. You are welcome to use the computer lab in the Simulation Center to take the test • Business casual is the dress code • To successfully pass to course you must score greater than an 84% on the test – if score is lower than 84% you will be remediated. Following remediation, you will be given the option to take a different version of the test (within 30 days) or retake the class
