At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to
Define Palliative Care and identify patients in which Palliative Care is appropriate
Describe the current prevalence of potentially inappropriate medication, or polypharmacy, in patients with serious illness at the end of life
Identify the appropriate population for deprescribing
Explore the current literature base for desprescribing and proposed tools/algorithms
Review the role of motivational interviewing and shared-decision making in the process of de-prescribing
