Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: ? Identify common challenges family caregivers face when attempting to provide care for their loved one with Alzheimer’s disease ? Explain the grief process families experience with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease ? Recite measures families can take to help them cope with the losses they experience throughout the course of the disease ? Understand that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved new Medicare service that will improve access to care planning and related services for persons with cognitive impairment, including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia
