Description:
The 2015 Respiratory Care conference will provide education in the practices of professional respiratory care. This seminar is designed for respiratory therapists, primary care and pulmonary specialists, nurses, all physicians and other interested health professionals. No prerequisites are required. By attending this seminar, participants should be able to: • Describe areas of expansion to the traditional RT scope of practice • Discuss the recent events surrounding Ebola at Nebraska Medicine • List the evidence-based treatment guidelines for both inpatient and outpatient COPD care • Discuss the increased burden of COPD in West Virginia • Describe how caring for a critical ill patient effects the medical staff • Discuss airway management for pediatric patients

Auditorium of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University/Charleston Division, 3110 MacCorkle Avenue SE, Charleston, WV. (Adjacent to CAMC Memorial Hospital). The facility is located on WV Route 61, east of downtown Charleston and is easily accessible from the 35th Street exit of I-64 east and I-77 south, and the MacCorkle Avenue exit of I-64 west and I-77 north.
